Play Rock Guitar Like a Legend

by Jeffrey Roberts

Being in some sort of rock band is a popular hobby for thousands of people. Quite a few do it just for the satisfaction, whilst others are chasing after their ambition of superstardom. Some are developing a new sound, while some others concentrate on great lyrics. But almost any rock artist would be very happy to achieve all the success of Slash, the guitarist with rock legends Guns N Roses.

Guns n Roses found fame during the eighties with a number of of the most iconic rock tracks from the previous couple of decades. As well as their charismatic front man, Slash was one of the other real characters within the band - immediately recognisable as a result of his enormous hair as well as astounding guitar playing.

Virtually any rock music performer would want to be compared to Slash, however along with practice and skill, it also requires high quality equipment. Therefore if you happen to aspire to Slash's greatness, what might be better than choosing equipment based upon exactly what Slash himself uses?

Thanks to Epiphone, you no longer need a rock star income to afford such quality instruments. Their amazing 'Appetite' Les Paul model happens to be based upon Slash's own famous guitar and has the outstanding looks, cool design along with super star performance any sort of rock legend would expect.

Getting the ideal rock guitar to match your musical ability may be one thing, but you should make sure that you've got everything you need to obtain the perfect sound. This is why the Marshall amp, yet again based on the very equipment Slash uses, is a great complement to the Epiphone 'Appetite' Les Paul.

When you partner the Marshall amp with the magnificent Epiphone variation of Slash's very own Les Paul model, you are ready for superstardom! However stocks really are limited so ensure you don't miss out on this legendary rock combo.

For the beginner, the Slash Les Paul combined with the Marshall amp will give your practice sessions an enjoyable and impressive superstar boost. But even if you happen to be an experienced musician, this unique combination could add a whole new legendary dimension to your existing sound.

Regardless of whether you want to be the next rock star, or just wish to have fun, you'll be able to enjoy a superior sound from the Slash marshall amp inspired by one of the biggest rock guitarists although without worrying about the huge price tag. So you could go ahead and take music world by storm - without it costing the earth.

Are You Thinking About Learning The Guitar

by William Terrell

Have you been thinking about learning how to play the guitar? One of the best things about the guitar is that it is such a versatile instrument. You can study to become a lead guitar player in a rock and roll band, or just learn how to play a few of the major chords so you can play around the campfire. No matter why you may be thinking about learning, It is a great hobby.

It's a funny thing, but music is unlike most other activities. Take football for example, there is no escaping the fact that if you want to play pro-football you had better be good and there are no short cuts. Technique and fitness is an absolute must.

When playing music on the guitar you will find that it shares many of the same characteristics as speaking. A couple of words can mean a lot more than a speech. The same goes for playing the guitar. Playing a few chords is sometimes better than playing hundreds of notes.

Bob Dylan was one of the most successful songwriters of all time. However while he was a talented guitar player he was no better than many other players out there today. But he also had a great talent of writing songs that moved people. So by combining his skill as a lyricist and guitar player, he became one of the biggest names in the music business.

So the fact to take in is that technical ability has little to do with musical talent. If your groove is a simple country, reggae or blues feel you can be damn good and highly relevant without being a technical genius.

The person who chooses to play music with there heart and soul becomes a musician. If you see classical guitarist's, the kind that went to college to become a great player and plays in orchestra's, are usually the worst type of player when it comes to playing rock or country music. Even though they are great at what they do.

One thing you should never do is to follow what other guitar players are doing. That is a sure path to failure. Get the right attitude, and combine that with your heart and do your own thing. One style of guitar playing that is perfect for one person can be completely wrong for another person.

A great example of this, is the amazing B.B. King. If you ever heard any of his music you know that he puts his heart and soul into his playing, which is what makes him such an amazing player. While many other's can play the same music it just never sounds the same as when the King plays it.

Playing guitar has an infinite number of possibilities. It is the most adaptable, usable instrument, and it's the journey to your goal that's the fun part. You will never stop learning guitar. Each time you pick it up you will discover something new and it needn't be hard to play to be relevant!

Beginning Guitar Lessons: Get Started Today

By January Whiteside

Thanks to a vast array of accessible learning resources the guitar is one of the easiest instruments to learn to play. Looking for portable music? The acoustic guitar doesn't need to be plugged into an amplifier, you can bring it anywhere and make music!

All in all, is there anyone who doesn't want to learn to play the guitar? To get started, you'll need to take guitar lessons.

There are three main routes one can go to learn how to play the guitar. One way is to teach yourself using various resources including music books, chord sheets, videos and interactive lessons from the internet. A second suggestion would be to find out if any of your friends or family have played the instrument before and could possibly help you learn the necessary skills to start strumming. Finally, you can take professional lessons from an instructor in either a group setting or in one-on-one lessons.

These are all valid approaches, but before you begin any beginning guitar lesson ask yourself why you want to learn. Do you want to be in a band? Do you want to emulate a guitar player you know? Do you just love learning new skills? Your answer is your own, but be honest: your reasons will reflect how much commitment you will have later on in the learning process.

You need your own guitar to begin guitar lessons. You could borrow one but you really should have your own to practice when you have free time.Additionally, owning a guitar helps you get use to playing a guitar, which is recommended for beginners.Prior to your guitar lessons, you should contemplate your level of commitment.Think about how many hours per day you can dedicate to learning how to play the guitar. This helps you set your priorities and figure out how much you really want to learn about guitar playing.

In order to really learn to play, it will require ongoing commitment: you can't give up because your fingers hurt. And they will, but if you begin with motivation, you'll be able to go back to that every time you feel like giving up. - 29862
